The U. S. Federal Trade Commission’s Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requires us to inform parents about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age and requires us to obtain the consent of parents in order for children under 13 years of age to use certain features of Alertrules.
We request children to enter name, password, mobile phone number, gender, and to upload a photograph.
Parental consent is required for a child to share any personal information, as discussed more fully below.
Any and all information including personal data, are protected from unauthorized disclosure.
Alertrules may also collect information about a child’s online activity, as well as Internet Protocol addresses, device types, and operating systems.
In any event, Alertrules does not require children to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity as a condition of participation in the Alertrules service.

Under COPPA, parental consent is required for the online collection and/or use of individually identifiable information obtained from a child under 13 years of age. Before we collect any personal information from a child under 13 years of age, we will obtain consent from the child’s parent.
If the parent takes no action in response to the notice email or phone call, the parent (a) represents and warrants that he/she is the parent or legal guardian of this child under 13 years of age; and (b) agrees to Alertrules’s collection of their child’s personal information solely for the purpose of logging in to Alertrules.
A child explicitly identifies themselves to us by creating and using an account at Alertrules and consenting to the sharing of information with us. Please be aware that Alertrules cannot provide its service unless the child, with parental consent, identifies themselves to us.

As a child has the option to provide their phone number to us, Alertrules will not use such phone number for any other purposes than the specified use. Alertrules will not send a child any other communication without parental consent.
Alertrules may also use and share non-personally identifiable information, such as information about the computer or device from which a child accesses Alertrules.
Additionally, we may anonymize personal information and share it in an aggregated form with third parties, in order to analyze Alertrules usage, improve the service and user experience, or for other similar purposes. The use and disclosure of such anonymous information is not subject to any restrictions under this Privacy Policy.
While using Alertrules, children may enjoy opportunities to share their information with others on social networking websites such as Facebook. When a child shares such information, it is made public and is not subject to this Privacy Policy for Children and/or Alertrules general Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for any third party’s use of information a child publicly displays or discloses through our service.
Parents can review their child’s personal information, have it deleted and/or refuse to allow the further collection or use of their child’s information by contacting Alertrules.
Parents may email support@alertrules.com to remove their child’s account from Alertrules, which will stop their child from using it. Parents may email support@alertrules.com with any questions regarding this Privacy Policy for Children.
In compliance with COPPA, parents may consent to Alertrules’s collection of their child’s personal information and Alertrules’s internal use of such personal information while also refusing to permit Alertrules to share such personal information with third parties. Alertrules does not currently disclose the personal information of children to third parties, but will notify parents if this practice is adopted in the future via updates to this Privacy Policy for Children.
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy for Children without prior notice to users of Alertrules.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page, and update the Alertrules Privacy Policy for Children modification date below.
